ABC BLOCKS
Three different colored blocks are stacked on a small base. The stack of three is covered with a square tube. When the tube is removed, the center block is seen to have vanished. It is found in a hat which was previously shown empty.
FLAP BOX
This apparatus is often used in conjunction with another trick (i.e. ABC Blocks) where a block vanishes from one place (the stack of blocks) and reappears in another (a hat).
The open-topped flap box is shown to be empty. Then, with just a flick of the wrist, the vanished block appears momentarily in the box. With a tossing motion towards the prop in which the block is to finally appear (a hat), the block instantly vanishes from the flap box.
